At Reacta Healthcare we have a dedicated New Product Development (NPD) suite
and team that can handle multiple allergen product development.
The rapidly expanding team is innovative and forward thinking and embrace NPD as a key driver towards our mission and goals.
The NPD team includes experienced food formulators who understand sensory parameters and client flavour profile preferences. Experienced in managing full process of the product from concept to launch. The analytical development process for new products is supported by the in-house scientific team and includes new analytical method development. The team includes Subject Matter Experts in analytical methods such as ELISA, SDS PAGE and CE SDS.
We have extensive experience in assay development for allergen containing products. Product development knowledge including client brief requirements, formulation (flavour profiles, textures, aromas, taste), sensory assessment, specification generation, material sourcing and supply chain management of actives, excipients and packaging components for inclusion in kits. We are highly experienced in the compliant transfer of product from NPD through to New Product Introduction (NPI).
We work cross functionally with Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Operations and Validation to ensure successful launches. The NPD team includes a Nutritionist and overlapping expertise between formulation and analytical development. Our dynamic teams work across the business, project managing every new product journey. The analytical laboratory will support a phased shift towards full control of product release. Initially supporting analytical method development.
A £1m Innovate UK funded project is currently underway developing milk, egg and peanut challenge meals for use from 6 months old. Building on knowledge of our existing peanut challenge meal, work is also underway to develop both egg and milk challenge meals which will be ready for use in clinical trials in 2024.
